The Dragon Helm is a male headgear found in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5. Its armor counterpart is the Dragon Armor.

Description

The Dragon Helm is an intricately decorated piece of orange armor apparently made of dragon skin. It seems to be made of four overlapping plates, giving it a resemblance to a reptilian claw; a round yellow gemstone sits in the "palm", where the plates intersect.

The Dragon Helm usually offers balanced boosts to the wearer's offenses and defenses, as well as Fire resistance and a chance of granting a useful status effect between turns.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Dragon Helm provides above-average Defence and Magic Defence and small bonuses to Attack and Magic Attack, but it stands out even more with its ability to give the wearer Morale between turns, granting him a safety net against powerful attacks. It only grants one stack at a time, but it has a very high trigger chance; this pairs well with armors that boost stats after taking powerful blows, such as the Karate Gi, the Golden Armor, or the Red Jacket.

The Dragon Helm's stat boosts work in concert with the invaluable auto-Morale to make it one of the most versatile and useful male hats in the game. Along with the Headband and the Demon Skull, it should be considered as a viable hat for any situation, being bulkier than the former and lacking the penalties of the latter; on the other hand, its offensive potential isn't nearly as high as the competition.

The Dragon Helm resists Fire and Burn; the latter becomes an immunity at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

Normal

The Dragon Helm has solid Defence and Magic Defence, along with a decent boost to Attack and Magic Attack. It's outclassed in all of these stats by other male headgears (most notably the Necromancer's Helmet), but its balance of bulk and power combines with its lack of penalties to make it an effective day-to-day option when more specialized hats aren't necessary. Its ability to occasionally grant Brave between turns only furthers its versatility; keep in mind that the trigger chance is fairly low, however.

The Dragon Helm resists Fire, Earth, Scorch and Burn. The latter two become an immunity at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Dragon Helm has solid defenses, as well as a pinch of Accuracy and Evade. However, it is more notable for its ability to boost the chances of inflicting status effects; this pairs well with the likes of the Alt Golden Axe, the Alt Book of Spells, or the Alt Spine Snapper in a male status build. Compared to the Alt Gas Mask (which also boosts status infliction), it has entirely superior stats (particularly Accuracy) in exchange for not boosting debuffs; it also has three elemental resistances compared to the Alt Gas Mask's Dark immunity and Bio absorption.

The Alt Dragon Helm resists Fire, Bomb and Holy. None of these become an immunity at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Dragon Helm is found in Lankyroot Jungle's Lost Ruins, in the top-left chest guarded by a battle that appears as a White Clay. The Blue Scroll key item is required to get to this location.

The Dragon Helm is found inside a chest in the Dragon Armor Cave in the Wild Tropics. Access to the cave is blocked by some rocks that can be smashed with The Hammer.
