Matt & Lance with the Leather Armor.
The Leather Armor is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and 4. In EBF4, it is exclusive to the Steam release of the game and the post-Battle Mountain update version of the Premium Pack.
Its hat counterpart is the Leather Hat, which only appeared in EBF3.
Description[]
The Leather Armor is a red suit of leather armor that has gold frills and a large golden ring in the center. It has a black undershirt, and a large sash.
The Leather Armor usually boosts Accuracy, Evade, and both defenses while being resistant (and eventually immune) to at least one status effect.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Leather Armor is a sturdy piece of defensive armor that boosts all stats except for Attack and Magic Attack. While it lacks any Equipment Effects, it is reasonably useful for relevant fights thanks to its Stun resistance and good bulk.
The Leather Armor resists Stun and somewhat resists Thunder. Only the Stun resistance becomes an immunity at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
The Leather Armor has average boosts for Defence and Magic Defence and small boosts to Evade and Accuracy. It is able to cast Temper between turns, but this is too unreliable to be worthwhile, especially considering the armor's late availability. Ultimately, Matt and Lance will be better served by more reliable and powerful armors.
The Leather Armor resists Weaken, Curse and Tired. All of these become an immunity at level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The player begins the game with Leather Armor in their inventory.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
The Leather Armor is found in Battle Mountain's dead/polluted forest, in the top-right chest guarded by an eight-wave foe rush with foes from Graybone Cemetery. The Stepladder is required to get there.
