Unload is a recurring weapon-elemental skill in the Epic Battle Fantasy series. It is typically one of Lance's natural skills, but is also used by bosses resembling him.
Description[]
When Unload is used, Lance will load his sidearm with six bullets before rapidly shooting them at the targeted enemy, hitting them for physical weapon-elemental damage with an above-average chance to score critical hits.
Prior to EBF5, Unload has fairly little realistic purpose; not only does Lance have magic-leaning offensive stats, the skill burdens him with a large Attack buff after use, effectively crippling his physical damage output without buffing support from the rest of the party. Its many hits can be useful for stacking Status Effects on a single foe, but the infliction chance on each shot is drastically reduced to the point where Lance probably won't get much out of them unless his equipped weapon has a naturally high infliction rate. EBF4 eventually buffed Unload to automatically retarget its remaining shots if the initial target dies, but Double Shot is typically better unless there are numerous foes on the verge of death.
In EBF5, Unload's power was drastically increased, making it one of the strongest Weapon-elemental skills the players have access to. Coupled with the loss of its self-debuff and the general improvements to Lance's physical repertoire, Unload can be used with physical Lance builds to deal blistering damage; however, it also suffers from a lengthy cooldown to prevent spamming.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
Since the Battle Mountain update, Unload (as well as Double Shot) will target another enemy in the wave if the initial target is eliminated. Its power per level is slightly higher than its EBF3 incarnation, although its MP costs have also been increased as a result.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Lance has Unload already learned at Level 1 when he joins the party at the end of the Iron Fortress. It has one less upgrade level than previous appearances and much more power per upgrade; its status infliction mechanics were also updated to only apply once at normal chances, as with most multi-hit attacks. Instead of reducing Lance's Attack, it has a 5-turn cooldown.
In Equip Remix, the Alt Hellfire Shotgun uses Unload as a counter skill.
